Instead of using the paper i usually used i have used a more opaque type. This creates a really nice effect as the light shines through the colours. To curl the paper i used a pencil and wrapped the paper around it
I think the way i stuck the paper together makes it look like the branches on a tree. I also took inspiration from shells which i collected, looking at the lines and shapes of them to create these sculptures.
Below i have used candles to create a backlight highlighting the sculptures from a different angle and adding a warm natural light. I stitched some thread through the curled pieces of paper. I also used photo paper for this to get the glowing effect on the glossy surface.
The way in which the large piece falls across the photo frames it really well.
Small restaurant Banq in Boston is located in the premises of old bank, but it is not its only feature. Its interior design was developed by company Office dA. And they done their job perfectly! Walls, ceilings and columns are made of wood and in the form of waves.
